She got the brisket plate with fries, mac & cheese, and garlic bread, while I went for the Philly cheesesteak with fries. Her brisket was smoky, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect bark on the outside. The mac & cheese was rich and creamy, and the fries were crispy and delicious. My Philly was loaded with juicy, cheesy steak, and the portion was just right. Great food, great atmosphere, and an awesome spot for a casual date night. “ My first visit was this week. It is about a 40 minute drive, so I was glad the food was good. I had a two meat sampler with turkey and brisket. I got the broccoli salad and a side salad. I put the two salads in one bowl. They were fresh and good tasting. The meats were nicely smoked and tender, easy to cut with a fork. I took some home for later. I would suggest improving the toast, and getting a different ginger beer for their mules. They are much better when there is real ginger in them. ”
“ Maybe some of the best local BBQ I’ve had especially the smoked sausage sampler. The briscuit was cooked properly as was the Turkey and both were delicious. The pork was good but probably the weakest of the meats in my opinion. Of the sides I found the broccoli salad a nice alternative to a BBQ side. Atmosphere was great with plenty of parking and easy access. Only complaint was it seemed like there wasn’t a clear cut way to tell what was available and what wasn’t available outside of special times. ”
